I've always been fascinated by streets and houses. Not just the pretty ones, but the dodgy council estates as well. What's going on there? Who lives there? What kind of stories would they tell? How do people, or entire areas, express their personalities through their residences? I've always taken these kinds of photos, but in 2022, I finally set out to actually make a project of the most boring things I could possibly photograph – the streets around me, wherever I am, which is usually somewhere in Nottinghamshire but occasionally elsewhere.
The value of these images is entirely subjective. A street that's fascinating or beautiful to me might be boring and ugly to you. So whilst the images here are some of my personal favourites out of the thousands I've taken, I don't chuck any of them out. I share them all on my blog, Instagram and Tumblr. This project is ongoing.
